Clayton Steele

Although Clayton Steele is relatively new to the scene, his love for electronic music began as a teenager in the early nineties when he started DJing at the age of seventeen. Growing up in London, Ontario which is situated between Detroit and Toronto, was ideal for moulding his musical taste and he quickly became known for his distinct and flawless sets. His local record shop ‘Doctor Disc’ was flooded with underground Detroit music which captivated Clayton for hours at a time. Every weekend there were numerous parties to choose from in both Toronto and Detroit featuring artists such as Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Carl Craig to name a few. There was also no shortage of European acts coming through as well. Having such a rich exposure to this style of music has definitely shaped Clayton Steele’s unique style which can be described as progressive-techno with an 80’s tinge, topped off with the occasional sultry new-wave vocal. However it was a move to the states in 2006 which would shift gears in the Canadian natives head. Clayton found himself living in Las Vegas in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains and decided to invest in a home studio to bring his dream of making music into fruition. It certainly proved to be quite undertaking, but there is no other way he would have had it.

Clayton Steele now finds himself focusing on perfecting his live performance complete with vocals.
